Law is a field that impacts every aspect of our community and we aim to shape the experience of our members around their expectations of the legal field. Through LULS, the experiences and values of our members are emphasised and we welcome people from all walks of life.
If you are interested in joining us and the legal field, we are equipped to support your journey irrespective of your background, where you come from and however unique your path into law is.
Our Goals
Inclusivity and diversity are woven into the fabric of how we direct the society. We aim to champion this initiative through:
Widening access - we offer dedicated outreach to underrepresented demographics of students within our community
Supporting alternative pathways - we make sure that students from different law programmes such as JD and Maîtrise disciplines are provided with tailored pathways into law
Connecting communities - we organise inter-society and inter-university events to provide a diverse range of opportunities for networking and collaboration
Diversifying access to the professional industry - we provide access to various professional resources and legal experts
Building community - we create different platforms and avenues for all students to share their experiences and connect with different communities
